SCA has a talented, versatile management team, a group whose eclectic blend of personalities and technical skills combine to create an innovative firm.

Mark Langan Vice President quality control and senior project architect, has been with the firm since its founding in 1988. Mark spearheaded SCA's penetration of the golf market by successfully signing Callaway golf as first anchor client. Mark's team recently completed the 220,000 square foot Callaway Golf Ball facility in Carlsbad. Mark is committed to maintaining a high degree of technical competency within the firm, and is responsible for the firm's continuing education program.

V. Scott Cairns Vice President business development and senior project architect, joined SCA in 1995, bringing with him an expertise in the telecommunications industry. Scott was instrumental in securing a $12 million contract for a manufacturing plant for Qualcomm, Inc. In addition to his skills resolving city and county permitting issues, Scott is challenged with the task to market and promote SCA's architectural, land planning and design services.

Peter Bussett, AIA Vice President and senior architect. Peter has been with the firm since 1996 and is a LEED 2.2 Accredited Professional. His background lies in design and production for office, industrial and biotech facilities. Peter is responsible for project scheduling and tracking the firm's ongoing staffing needs, and is noted for his contract development and construction management skills. Recently, Peter led the project team for Gen-Probe's 291,000 sq. ft. GCD2 campus expansion.

Gary R. Baker Vice President of design services, brings 21 years of design and project management experience to SCA and is charged with master planning, site planning, building and interior design. Baker is a LEED 2.0 Accredited Professional with the U.S. Green Building Council, and is the office expert in sustainable design. Baker joined the firm in 1994 as a project architect. Most recently, he was director of design responsible for all phases of project design from development of conceptual schematics through refinement and construction administration.

William Sharon Vice President, specializes in retail projects. With over 2 million square feet of retail design under his belt (including Creekside Marketplace, Eastlake Terraces, and Torrey Hills Center), Bill is the reason why SCA is a major player in the Southern California retail design arena. Bill is also responsible for SCA's successful penetration into markets outside of San Diego County. This includes designing various office, industrial, tenant improvement, and retail / mixed-use projects currently underway in Palm Springs, Palm Desert, La Quinta, Indio, and El Centro.
